-Soccer/sports snacks. Avoid single serving juices & packaging. Talk to
coaches & lead the way by your example. Try [real] fruit slices & muffins
instead.
3)) IDEAS TO TRY AT HOME & WITH YOUR KIDS:
-Take a photo of your pantry, fridge & freezer and see where you can
reduce your impact.
-Great Pacific Patch jar: fill glass jar full or water & collect tiny
bits of garbage. See how much accumulates.
-Collect trash from soccer/sports snacks for a season. See how waste is
created.
(Plan to contact Magnolia Soccer Club and ask if club will join Oct 24
Climate Action Day in asking families and players to reduce emissions by
walking/biking/carpooling to games and cut down on waste with single
serving snacks.)

Yes, please! The folks at Zipcar wrote us back and we now have some
homework to do, to make a case for bringing this wonderful car sharing
program to Magnolia.
Last, but not least, here is the link to solar tours in WA:

See you next month!
Magnolia CoolMoms
*Magnolia CoolMoms are launching a campaign to get Zipcar into Magnolia. It saves money, reduces resource consumption and helps us think more
about our car use and helps promote the many errands in one trip idea.
Magnolia has also promised volunteer support to Sustainable Magnolia,
who was awarded $30,000 in grant money for "Magnolia in Motion", to
promote planet-friendly transportation, such as biking and walking, in
the Magnolia community.
