Save the Planet - At Work

Ask the question:  is there a more efficient way?  

Reduce packaging.  Save the planet and money.

Switch over to compact flourescent light bulbs, which use 60% less energy.

Place recycling containers near every desk, so it's more convenient to recycle.

Use a paperless fax machine.

Use recycled paper and print on both sides of the page.

Set the printer's default to double-sided paper to cut down on paper waste.

Think before shredding.  Only long-cut strands of shredded paper can be recycled.

Own a business? Create incentives for employees to live close to work.

Help set up employee carpools.

Provide discounts to employees using mass transit.

Ask that your business provides shower facilities so you can bike to work.

Start a friendly bike competition among area businesses.  The company whose employees commute the most miles total wins!

Compost at work.

Turn off electronics when not in use. 

Print only when necessary.
