Project: A Great Idea
Services Provided: series concept, manuscripts, photo research, series design, layout and production to printers discs
A Great Idea was Bow's great idea from initial concept. Knowing that invention and discovery has always been a perennial curriculum topic, developing a series that focused on inventor's original great ideas helped make this series a winner for owner Patti Hall. Bow worked closely with Hall to match the series with her publishing company's unique needs, including matching a 3rd grade reading level and making each book high interest, fun, and unique. Bow also completed photo research, sometimes having to track down elusive inventors and never-before-seen pictures of brand-new inventions. In addition, other graphic elements, including small factoid boxes complete the look. Bow's designer chose a simple, yet fun presentation to engage young readers. See reviews here.
